Pennyblackmusic.co.uk review:
"fans who like their music to have some thought behind it will find it essential listening."

The Troy Perlic (fivehundredandcrave) story.
Originally a small town Canadian boy (raised in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada – Population 3700), the quiet life couldn’t hold on to Troy Perlic. Dreams, desires and
determination eventually lead him to London, England after 3 year post high school stints in both Calgary and Vancouver. Eagerly ‘learning the ropes’ (both on stage and in the studio)
in Canada, Troy steadilly seemed to move on to the next biggest city; London became his heaven & hell for 6 years beginning in1997.
Championing the resurgence of London’s decadent underground Hard Rock scene (whilst
the spice girls and indie music dominated European Top 40), Perlic soon became a regular
headliner and crowd favourite in the UK receiving constant critical acclaim and industry
praise. He battled through the loss of band members & friends during the ‘hard drugs era’
(typical) and an unruly anxiety disorder while steadily gaining notoriety & major press (Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Rock Sound, BBC1) for his bold song writing, mesmerizing performances, and sometimes mischievous behaviour. After playing the big stage at Ozzfest (2002) and a sold out show at London’s infamous Camden Palace on October 31st, 2002 – Perlic’s band (Five Hundred & Crave) unceremoniously self destructed at the height of their career amidst an industry bidding
war turned icy with tales of drugs and addiction. Yes, typical...
